Candler Park Tour of Homes
Come visit 8 beautiful Candler Park homes and see why so many people choose to make historic Candler Park their home!
The Tour of Homes will take place on Sunday, October 11, 2009 from 12:00 to 6 pm.
The self-guided walking tour includes eight houses. The homes range from classic Craftsman bungalows to new Craftsman four squares. The construction dates span 106 years.
The tour booklet also includes the popular article, “How to Research the History of Your Home” by Robert Craig, Professor, College of Architecture, Georgia Tech. Wouldn't you like to know the wealth of history your own home holds? What historic events took place in it and whether any historic figures lived in it? It might make you reconsider certain things about it, from your home insurance policy to your furniture, or even your garden space! This article will help you learn more about your home and treat it accordingly.
Tickets are $15 on the day of the tour. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $12 at the following locations:
The Mercantile, Candler Park Market, Donna Van Gogh’s, Little Five Points Pharmacy, Ace Hardware on Scott, Inman Park Pet Works or online via PayPal.
